Bags sealing and sewing

For each material, we have the optimal solution for bags sealing

There are various options of sealing and sewing FIBC. The type of dustproof sewing that will be used depends on the material to be packed in the big bag.

Dustproof tapes

There are several levels of FIBC dustproof construction. Users can choose the level of dustproof that meets their needs. In the event that the buyer does not have experience with big bags, our sales managers have a proposal that meets their requirements. Then, the degree of dustproof which in practice proved adequate for this type of material is proposed.

Sealing strips can be arranged on the body of the jumbo bag:

  • Throughout the FIBC,
  • Along the height of the bag, at the bottom and the outlet spout,
  • Only at the bottom and the outlet spout,
  • Or only at baffles in the case of uncoated Q-bags.

Without sealing
Sewing bulk bags only with a thread. This type of sealing is used for packing granular materials (grain cereals, recycling, pellets, briquettes, granules ...), there is a very wide range of goods that can be packed in FIBC without dustproof tapes.
One sealing strip
Sewing FIBC with one sealing strip is used for packing crystal sugar and granules.
Two sealing strips
Sewing big bags with two dustproof tapes. This type of sealing is used for packing flour, processed cereals, quartz sand and many other. It is the most common type.
Three sealing strips
Sewing big bags with three sealing strips. This type involves sealing with two dustproof tapes and a third dustproof tape between the fabric. It is used for milk powder, calcium carbonate, dust, chalk, starch .... and in cases where the bag is filled under high pressure. The thrd dustproof tape can be placed on all seams or alternatively added only on critical seam eg. Bottom and outlet seam n order to save costs.
Bulk bags with inliner
A Inliner in the bag provides the best dustproof protection. Inliner are used for packing very powdery materials or liquid materials such as liquid lime, water. There are several types of inliners, please visit our FIBC Inliner section for more information.
Bag in bag
Double bags are a Q-Bag inside a normal big bag. It is used to achieve a similar level of dustpoof like a big bag with liner and at the same time having a Q-Bag but without using a Q-liner which would be very expensive.

Dustproof Q-bags

Q-bags differ from the standard big bags by compartments (baffles) which are located in the corners of big bags. Baffles may be without a sealing strip, with one, two or three sealing strips.

Seam variants

There are several options of seams. During the production it is determined which seams are used, depending on the capacity of the big bag.
