DIV Trades supplies big bags in the Balkans, Russia and the European Union. Moreover, we are the market leader in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Macedonia. Our big bags have a high share in the European Sugar Industry and we are growing strongly in Russia..
What we do
We produce and sell all types of FIBC e.g. standard 4-loop, 1- and 2-loop, conductive, UN bags, formstable, ventilated and bulk bags with inliner. Every big bag is designed in consultation with the customer in order to meet the individual requirements of handling, size, weight, filling and emptying process, product safety, handling safety and esthetics. Our sales team has a lot of experience and is happy to develope the best solution for your products.
The heart of our company is our sewing plant where big bags are made from fabric, loops, sewing thread and other technical textiles. In this division, we employ over 350 people. The second part of DIV Trades consists of a state-of-the-art fabric production plant with more than 100 employees. We produce most of the technical textiles that are needed for big bags inhouse.
History of DIV Trades
DIV Trades d.o.o. was founded by Zoran Knezević in Čelarevo, Serbia in 1996. Company’s activity in the first two years was paper trade. In 1998, the company switched to the production of big bags. DIV Trades was not the first big bag producer in Serbia. There was a big government owned company “Dunav A.D.” which did not succeed after the transformation of Yugoslavia to the market-based economy in the 90’s. Coming from Dunav, the first employees, as well as the management already had much experience in FIBC production. With the local know-how and a successful high-quality strategy, DIV Trades has grown in the following years into a regional leader in FIBC business.
DIV Trades consequently invested in new machines and technology to become a fully vertically integrated fibc manufacturer producing its own fabric, loops, and other technical textiles. Additionally, the scope of products and the complexity of the bulk bags has increased.
The manufactured big bags were often simple standard big bags in the first days, whereas today we mainly produce sophisticated big bags like formstable or conductive ones.
Today DIV Trades employs about 500 people and produces 2 million jumbo bags per year.
Milestones
1996 - DIV Trades d.o.o. founded as a paper trading company
1998 - DIV Trades starts to manufacture big bags with 9 sewing machines and 20 employees
2002 - 100 people are employed
2004 - Introduction of own fabric production (Sulzer)
2008 - DIV Trades is ISO 9001:2008 certified
2008 - Parts of production and offices are moved to new buildings
2010 - DIV Trades buys its first tape line
2010 - Export of FIBC to Russia begins
2012 - Acquisition of further land and buildings (about 6.000 sqm)
2015 - DIV Trades expands its fabric production
2016 - DIV Trades has 500 employees
